# Avalanche → Ethereum Swap

The **$DEXTF** token was launched in September 2020 to power the **Memento DFM** Dapp on *Ethereum* and subsequently bridged to the *Avalanche* chain using a third party provider service. Users were able to bridge **$DEXTF** on *Ethereum* to *Avalanche* and vice versa using the **Multichain** (formerly **Anyswap**) bridge.

Since July 2023, the **Multichain** service stopped being operational. The **Multichain** team created and own the smart contracts of the bridge, and they are in control of the tokens locked in the Ethereum's contract ([`0x820A9eb227BF770A9dd28829380d53B76eAf1209`](https://etherscan.io/address/0x820a9eb227bf770a9dd28829380d53b76eaf1209)).

Any attempts to contact the **Multichain** team have failed and the **Domani** team has no update on when/if this service will be restored. There are approximately **3.5m $DEXTF tokens** bridged on *Avalanche*, and they are not retrievable on *Ethereum* by the **Domani** team and could be lost forever.
